The Geer Hill School

The Geer Hill School, built in 1813, is a one-room schoolhouse located on Colonel Ledyard Highway in Ledyard, Connecticut. It stands on the site of a 20-foot square of land donated by the Geer Family in 1735 and is one of two known schools in the United States with the Geer name affixed to it, the other being in Washtenaw County, Michigan. The Geer Hill School Association collected funds for restoration of the schoolhouse, promoting the cause in GFA newsletters and at the triennial GFA reunions.
